Providence-based Lingerie Football League team holds tryouts

Providence's newest professional sports team -- the New England Euphoria of the Lingerie Football League -- held tryouts the other day in Revere, Mass.

The new league, which is scheduled to start play this fall, features full-contact 7-on-7 football played by women in helmets, sports bras and panties.

Each of the LFL's 10 teams will play four games.

The Euphoria will play its two home games at the Dunkin Donuts Center. The home opener is Oct. 2 when the Miami Caliente come to town.

Lingerie Football League Fall 2009 With 10 Teams!

The Lingerie Football League will kick off its inaugural season in Fall 2009 with ten franchises including Los Angeles Temptation, Phoenix Scorch, Seattle Mist, San Diego Seduction, Dallas Desire, New England Euphoria, Chicago Bliss, Atlanta Steam, Miami Caliente and Tampa Breeze. LFL games will be played at major arenas and stadiums in America on Friday nights and broadcast on cable television in Fall 2009.
